Founded in 2000, Bonnie Franklin’s Classic and Contemporary Plays (CCAP) fills a void in the English and Humanities curriculum of the greater Los Angeles public school system by providing underserved junior and senior high school students the opportunity to experience staged concert readings of plays by great American playwrights - read by exceptional performing artists of theatre, film, and television.

Bonnie Franklin’s Classic and Contemporary American Plays is supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pico Playhouse, the Lear Family Foundation, the Sidney Stern Foundation and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission - and by the generous contributions of our individual sponsors.
